Glenrowan West Solar Farm

Glenrowan West Solar Farm

Located in just off the Hume Freeway, between Benalla and Wangaratta, the 149MWp DC Glenrowan West Solar Farm provides the equivalent of 43,000 homes with clean energy whilst preventing the emissions of 250,000 tCO2 per annum. Owned by Wirtgen Invest, the construction of the Solar Farm commenced in February 2020 and achieved its first export of clean energy in December 2020 -an impressive construction timeline of only 9-months, managed by our internal project management team.

Gentari Solar Australia provides both asset management services and operations and maintenance services for the project. The solar farm utilises sheep grazing for vegetation management with excellent results. The site currently has 2000 sheep on site, showcasing the true multifunctional benefit of agri-solar initiatives.
