Gannawarra Solar Farm

Gannawarra Solar Farm

Located in Kerang, VIC, the 60MWp DC Gannawarra Solar Farm is providing the equivalent of 19,000 homes with clean energy whilst preventing the emissions of 109,983 tonnes of CO2 per annum. During construction of the project saw 585 individuals employed in various capacities, and the site continues to employ staff from local and neighbouring communities today.

Gentari Solar Australia is proud to be a pioneer on the site with it being the first integrated renewables and storage facility in Victoria, housing Australia’s second largest lithium-ion battery at the time of construction, Gannawarra Energy Storage System. The solar farm utilises sheep grazing for vegetation management with excellent results, with over 300 sheep currently on site.

The site is owned by Gentari Solar Australia (95%) & Edify Energy (5%).
