As such, we are seeking an experienced Project Director to play a key leadership role shaping Gentari’s culture in raising the bar on how clean energy is delivered within Australian communities to Australian consumers. As part of the global delivery team, reporting to the Head, RE Australia, your task is to bring our solar and storage projects into reality. You and your team will be responsible for the overall management of the delivery of our large-scale utility projects, taking them from Final Investment Decision, design, construction and to operational handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the teams managing the execution of renewable energy projects including project and construction managers, engineers, and HSE personnel ensuring safe, timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure that learnings and expertise from project delivery are input into developments, acquisitions and operational projects. Provide pricing and construction schedule inputs to the development team.
- Have a key role in the procurement of contractors and suppliers, and lead and direct the commercial and technical negotiations of EPC or BoP Contracts, and key supply contracts.
- Management of the construction contracts including overseeing contractual obligations and entitlements, as well as managing the technical review and sign off on designs, construction milestones and change management.
- Report on key milestones, risks and roadblocks, providing regular updates to management and the executive team in Malaysia.
- Plan and schedule project delivery scopes, milestone, timelines and resources and the teams to deliver these projects.
- Build and establish relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and relevant Government Bodies
- Serve as the primary contact for all Project Delivery matters. Outside of ordinary hours contact may be required for this purpose.
- Ensuring Gentari safety, environment and quality policies are implemented and adhered to across all project sites, and that our commitments to community and other stakeholders are met.

Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience managing large utility scale, oil & gas, and/or energy infrastructure project delivery in Australia.
- Excellent communication and being comfortable reporting to CEOs and boards of directors.
- Experience implementing risk management procedures.
- Very organised with a keen eye for detail and strong ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and anticipate issues before they arise.
- Expert skills in project management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and conflict resolution Strong leadership skills and ability to manage teams across multiple projects.
- Experienced using Microsoft Project and the rest of the Microsoft Office product suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
- Valid Australian Driving Licence.
- White Card required.
- Travel to project delivery sites.
